Mission

In a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence and automation, do you sometimes wonder if humans still have something to bring to the table? Against systems designed to perform at unmatched levels of speed, precision, and control, is there still something that sets us apart?

Yes we do! And yes, there is!

Because we are all hormonal. And that means we can change

Hormones have historically been underestimated, ignored and even misconstrued as a justification for inequality in research, health and society. Hormones are the confounding factor that you just can’t get rid of in your research projects. Hormones are that element of unpredictability for medical treatments that sometimes work and sometimes don’t. Hormones provide those annoying emotions that we so desperately want to ignore in our performance-driven society. But really hormones are just messengers! Don’t shoot the messengers! Listen to them! You might learn something.

Hormones can stimulate the growth of new brain cells and new connections between them! Hormones can alter the balance of neurotransmitters in your brain and provide new ways to process information! In doing so, hormones provide us with one of life’s most powerful abilities — the ability to adapt in unique and creative ways.

If you have read so far, you may have figured out by now that here — at the Hormonal Intelligence Initiativewe love hormones! And we strive to understand individualized responses to hormonal change in order to achieve true equality. In research, health and society. That’s our mission.

So let’s be human! Let’s be hormonal together!
