Hormonal transition periods across the life course

The Hormonal Intelligence Initiative investigates how hormonal transition periods shape mental health, cognition, and wellbeing across the lifespan.

Our long-term goal is to identify non-invasive biomarkers that may help predict individual mental health changes during hormonal transitions. To achieve this, we combine questionnaire-based assessments, hormonal profiles, genetics, and neuroimaging data.

We aim to provide the basic research needed for future personalised approaches to hormonal wellbeing — including earlier detection, prevention, and more individualised treatment strategies during periods of hormonal change.
