New research initiative on hormones, brain, and mental health
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Hormonal Intelligence Initiative, a new research initiative dedicated to advancing integrative, sex- and gender-sensitive research on hormones, brain, cognition, and mental health across the life course.
Hormonal transitions such as puberty, menstrual cycles, pregnancy, menopause, and ageing shape health in profound ways. Yet hormonal change has often been treated as a complication rather than as a central part of human biology and mental health. The Hormonal Intelligence Initiative aims to create space for research that connects what is often studied separately: psychology, neuroscience, medicine, and public health.
Our goal is to support research, education, prevention, and public dialogue around hormonal health. By bringing together scientific expertise and public responsibility, we want to make overlooked questions visible and contribute to more equitable health research.
Further information about our projects, collaborations, and upcoming activities will be shared soon.
